KNIGHT LIAR: Norwin introduces big changes to student lunches

Maria Janiga, Secretary

Coming next September, Norwin High School will be receiving a Chick-Fil-A and a Subway stand to replace the current concession stand in the cafeteria. Norwin School District officials have been discussing this and with a high vote at the most recent board meeting, it was decided that it would be a great idea. There will be a wide variety of options from the menus that will be great for many students.

The construction of the project will begin to take place over the summer after students are gone and out of the building. Walking in the next school year students will have the opportunity to enjoy a plethora of delicious fast foods.

“I’m super excited, I love Chick-Fil-A. I can’t wait to try everything on their menu, “ said Hliver Oinson.

Students will be able to purchase the Chick-Fil-A and Subway during all lunches. But, are still required to eat a full balanced meal of a main course, fruit/veggie, and a beverage.

But there is a downside to these amazing food stands, it is still required to eat healthy, due to this all bread is required to be whole wheat or whole grain.

So maybe bring your own bread to school so you can still enjoy your chicken sandwich thoroughly.

Norwin students and parents will also have the opportunity to work for the food stands and the students will even be able to get out of class early and prepare food for the different lunches. But it is required to get a work release from your guidance counselor in order to do so.

“I’ve been looking for a job so this is really perfect for me, and since it is just school, I’ll have more time to put forward to my future career at subway,” said Sadison Mamber.
