Picture Day is here for Norwin students for the 2023-24 school year. This summer the school switched from long time photographer, Mr. McLaughlin and Captured Image Photography to a new company called LifeTouch. LifeTouch set up in the auditorium on Tuesday Aug. 29 and Wednesday Aug. 30. Multiple photography stations were set up for underclassmen and seniors who did not get their picture taken this summer.
Various different picture packages will be available for Norwin students, who could turn in an envelope or order online here. The packages include a premium, plus, standard, basic, and an entry package. The most expensive option, a Premium package, starts at $59.99, includes premium retouching, 25 background options, and a name and grade on all prints. This also includes 22 prints delivered and up to 7 digital images on shutterfly. The least expensive option being the entry package, starts at only $9.99 and includes 6 prints delivered. Students will be able to come down to the auditorium to get a picture package of their choice taken. Backgrounds and props are included in the auditorium for pictures as well.
“I think that picture days were fabulous,” said Mrs. Angela Hufnagel, yearbook adviser. “Students and staff were patient when lines were long, and I’m really excited to see the proofs.”
Seniors had the option of getting their picture taken during the summer, or they could get portrait taken with underclass pictures at the start of the new school year.
“I got my pictures taken during the summer,” senior Angelo Buffalini said. “The wait actually took a while but I think the pictures should turn out good. I liked how you could pick a different sign to hold for your senior portraits.”
Trying to get over 1700 students photographed is a huge undertaking, and students and faculty showing up helped the process along.
“Seniors really showed up this summer, which I truly appreciate,” Hufnagel said. “Most seniors had their portraits taken then, and I hope next summer, the Class of 2025 does the same.”
