The Norwin Girls Golf team was in the green this season, finishing with a 4-9 overall record. The record went down from last year’s record of 5-6, but still placed the team at fourth place in their section, scoring ahead of Gateway and Indiana schools.
Individually, sophomore Adalena Robb led the Knights golf team. Robb placed 21st in the first round of the WPIAL 3A Girls’ individual championship, advancing to the final round. In the WPIAL 3A final round, Robb placed 19th, golfing a 98.
“This season I played pretty well,” Robb said. “I scored my lowest round in a match ever at 38 which was cool. Overall I had a good season.”
The team did not have a lot of practices this season and their record went down from last year. Although the record this year has improved when compared to years before last year, the team still feels that there are ways to build on their ability.
“The team this year definitely could have played better,” Robb said. “We had our bad days but we also had our good days. I think the team could improve on effort and wanting to get better.”
With the offseason among them, the girls on the golf team will be working on their skills for the upcoming year.
“Over the offseason I definitely am going to improve my short game factor,” said Robb.
