Q: Why do you think you received the Rodger’s scholarship?
A: I think the strong relationships with teachers that I have created and maintained throughout my high school career, coupled with my service, grades, and extracurriculars, helped me tremendously.
Q: Describe your feelings when you learned that you received the scholarship…
A: I was immediately at a loss for words. I called my mom and we were both so excited about the news. It felt like my work the past four years had finally come full circle and resulted in such an incredible achievement.
Q: Where do you plan to go to college (if you know), and what are you going to major in?
A: I am not certain of which college I am going to enroll in, however I hope to double major in economics and public policy. I am leaning towards schools like William and Mary, the Kelley School of Business at Indiana, and Georgetown.
Q: What are your future plans?
A: I aspire to attend law school in the future, but I am also looking into potential internships during my undergrad years with the FBI or similar agencies. Pursuing careers in economic consulting, corporate tax law, and cybersecurity all interest me.
Q: Any other comments…
A: I am so blessed to receive this scholarship and beyond excited for the opportunities it will provide for me in my future. I’d like to thank my parents, teachers, and friends for helping me reach this monumental achievement.
