Fall Consignment Sale
As Snoball quickly approaches, the search for the perfect dress is underway. Norwin Junior Class Office will be hosting their annual Fall Consignment Sale on Wednesday Nov. 10 and Thursday Nov. 11. The sale will take place both days from 3:30-7:00 PM in the Norwin High School auditorium lobby.
Over 300 dresses have been donated ranging from size 00-24. In addition to the donations, over 30 consigned dresses will also be available.
Dresses come from designers such as Sherri Hill, Jovani, Primavera, and more. Miller’s Prom and Formal Wear, M’Kaysha’s Bridal Lane, The Exquisite Bride, and The Prom Shoppe have all donated dresses as well.
“We have everything from size 00-24,” said teacher and junior class office adviser, Mrs. Danae Brentzel-Martina. “That’s something we’ve really worked hard on to make sure we have a lot of inclusive size ranges so that everybody can find a dress regardless of your body type that you feel really good in.”
The sale, which began in 2015 started with only one rack and has grown tremendously in the following years.
“We started out with one rack with 30 dresses in 2015,” said Brentzel. “Every year, every group of class officers grows the sale to be bigger and better. They do a really good job with it.”
After two cancellations last year due to school closings and Covid, this will be the first consignment sale since 2019. As of right now, a spring sale is also being planned.
“We are trying to be wise with our resources, and instead of a dress just staying in a closet, someone might wear this and reuse this. Sellers make a bit of money and someone gets a great dress for a great price.”
