Norwin students perform exceptionally well on standardized testing
Despite the challenges associated with learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, Norwin’s standardized test scores in 2021 were much higher than the state and county averages.

On Monday, March 14, superintendent Dr. Jeff Taylor made a presentation at the school board meeting highlighting students’ academic achievements from the 2020-21 school year.
Among the statistics were the district’s average PSSA, Keystone, SAT, and AP scores, as well as their rankings among Westmoreland, Pennsylvania, and United States schools.
Norwin’s 2021 average PSSA Science scores for 4th and 8th graders were much higher than Westmoreland County and state averages.
