For the first time in 8 years, the Lady Knight’s Golf team will be headed to the WPIAL team playoffs.
On September 18, the Lady Knights defeated Franklin Regional 188-190, cementing them as 2nd in Section III, and ending their regular season with a 10-2 record in the section and a 10-3 record overall. The first two teams in each section move on to the WPIAL team playoffs.

“This team makes me the player I am today, and has become some of my best friends,”said sophomore Mia Ratesic. “We work really well together and fought to make it to WPIALS this year.”

The 2025-26 team is led by senior Adalena Robb, who placed 2nd in Section 3 WPIAL qualifiers to qualify for WPIAL Individual Finals. She finished tied for 9th in the Individual Finals, carding a score of 82 on day 1 and 89 on day 2.
“I worked much harder this year for it,” said Robb. “I spent every day practicing leading up to it. I also just worked on my mental game and just reminded myself how hard I’ve worked for it. I like to think about the holes I’m going to play and knowing the golf course and just mentally reminding myself that mistakes are going to happen, you’re gonna have bad shots, but you just have to recover from it.”
Despite losing their number one golfer, the Lady Knights are still young and hope to bring this momentum into next season. Their next four golfers comprise a strong squad of sophomores Olivia Andrykovitch, Mia Ratesic, and Heidi Gray, and freshman Maren Moenssens. There are numerous other sophomores and freshmen on the team who hope to contribute next year.
“This season showed me how I need to step up for next year and what I need to work on to get better and more competitive,” said sophomore Olivia Andrykovitch.
”This golf season has influenced me to work harder and more consistently. A personal goal I have is I am trying to break 45 as my score and become more consistent with my shots. I am really excited for next year and the opportunity to play,” said Ratesic.

The Lady Knights hope to close out a strong season at the WPIAL Team Finals on Thursday, October 9th, at Cedarbrook Red Golf Course.
“I think all the girls really wanted to do well this year,” said Robb. “Going into every match we told ourselves “We’re still 6 and 1, let’s get another win.” Everybody really wanted to succeed.”
Before the team finals, Robb reminded her teammates of the hard work they had put in all year.
“We worked so hard to make the team finals for the first time in eight years, so just play hard and have fun and just enjoy making that happen,” said Robb.
