Norwin High School students dressed up in certain themes to show their school spirit for Spirit Week the week of Labor Day. Traditionally, the first Spirit Week is the week of Homecoming which is Oct. 3-7. Norwin Student Council plans to host another Spirit Week that week as well in preparation for Homecoming.

The themes the week included: Tuesday, GROUTFIT, which is an outfit in which someone wears grey on grey. Well dressed Wednesday, where students showed off their best clothing attire. Twin Thursday students picked friends to twin with as they matched their outfits. Lastly blue and gold day on Friday. Students showed their Norwin spirit representing their colors.

“We did our best to start off the year with something exciting for our students,” said Ameer Elatrache (10) the recording secretary of Norwin Student Council. “Our back to school Spirit Week was intended to encourage students and get them ready for the new school year!”

The early Spirit Week definitely brought students together to use their creativity through their outfits and inspired students to show their Norwin School spirit.

“We wanted to make sure the themes chosen would encourage students to participate more in different school spirit activities,” claimed Elatrache. “With help from the members of Student Council, we have done our best to create fun and exciting themes.”

The Norwin Student Council wants their classmates to keep encouraged throughout the year and by doing so they have created events and activities for the students to participate in.

“We believe that if we continue to do fun and enjoyable activities like these, it will motivate the students and teachers to be excited to participate in many different school activities and become more engaged with the district!” said Elatrache.

Norwin Student Council wants to stay engaged and keep their students motivated with this 2022-2023 school year. Be ready to show that spirit the week of Homecoming Oct. 3.
