Q: What is your role in Mamma Mia? Explain what you do…
A: I am a featured actor/dancer. What I do in the musical is that I am featured in some of the dances. I still sing in the big songs, but have some special parts in some of the numbers. I am usually with the other featured dancers and actors. I have a lot of fun learning the difficult dances.
Q: What do you do every day in rehearsals? Go into details.

A: What I do first every day is that the whole group does warm-ups. After warm ups we go into reviewing the dances that need the most work. When we go through the dances, we might stop to clean and fix some things. After we are done cleaning, we run it again and again until it looks perfect. After that, we might have some new things to learn. The leads normally get taught and then the different groups with different parts.
Q: Why did you decide to be a dancer in Mamma Mia? Explain.
A: I love to dance and have been dancing since I was little. I love doing musicals and enjoy performing. In the musical, I meet so many new people and make so many new friends. I have so much fun doing it and look forward to it every day.
Q: Any additional comments……
A: Come see Mamma Mia!

Q: What is your role in Mamma Mia? Explain what you do…
A: My roles in Mamma Mia are a Featured Dancer and a Featured Vocalist. As a Featured Dancer, I am at rehearsal almost every day, and I spend my time either dancing or being a background actor, or both. I have the responsibility of learning the huge dance numbers that the whole cast is in as well as smaller, more difficult numbers. Some of the numbers where I am featured is Under Attack, Take A Chance, Vouz le Vouz, and Lay All Your Love On Me, as well as many others. As a Featured Vocalist, I learned “special” background vocals in songs that either had subgroups or harmony lines written. Then, the vocals were recorded for these songs were recorded as a sweetener track, which means that these recorded vocals will play to help support the overall sound during the heavier dance numbers. Almost all the songs had some part to be recorded, and it was such an amazing opportunity to be recorded vocally in such a way.
Q: What do you do every day in rehearsals? Go into details.
A: Rehearsals are always such a crazy time where I am almost never just sitting around—which is my favorite part! A day at rehearsal for me typically looks like this: I warm up with the group for about 20 minutes to whatever pop music mix of the day it is, then we run through numbers that we either had cleaned (which means fixed on the stage) or numbers we have not done for a while, next we will get taught new dances or walk through formations if it is a scene, and finally we will typically try on costumes or meet with the team to discuss prop/costume ideas.
Q: Why did you decide to be a dancer in Mamma Mia? Explain.
A: I wanted to be a dancer in Mamma Mia because it is such a vibrant and lively show that it is impossible not to want to dance when you hear the music. I also have been in the theater for 11 years, and it is a very big passion of mine to be on stage. This is also my first musical with NTC, and I was so excited when I found out that I was given the opportunity to dance with this amazing cast, crew, and production team!
