Not many people know the North Huntingdon Firepit Wood Fired Grill has been open for over ten years now.

They are a local, family-owned restaurant serving chef-inspired cuisine cooked over their signature hardwood grill, with select items smoked to perfection. They have a enjoying, welcoming atmosphere, featuring a large, contemporary bar and an inviting outdoor patio for relaxing and gathering with family and friends.

It is located at 8933 State Rte 30, Irwin, PA. This establishment offers a casual, vibrant environment with an open kitchen where you can watch the chefs prepare meals over live flames.

They have amazing wood-fired foods, like steak, Mahi Mahi, and shrimp. The serving staff is wonderful, and they treat their customers well. All the workers there are like a family; they all work well together, and they treat each other with respect.

For how many times I have been there with family and friends, the food has always come out hot and amazing. They have lovely people working there. They always treat my family and me well, no matter if they have a rough day, they love seeing us coming.

This restaurant is amazing for the whole family, big or small; they always love seeing familiar faces and new faces, too.

Firepit was named the best of the best in 2021 and in 2023. I would give this restaurant a 10 out of 10 stars.

The restaurant is divided into sections: one for family dining, the other side is a bar, and an outside area. The family dining has a view of the open kitchen, but the bar and outdoor area do not have a view of the open kitchen.

My favorite dish from The Firepit, I would say, is the side of Mahi Mahi lightly blackened with either French fries or asparagus with a Doctor Pepper.

The best appetizers I would say are the pretzels with cheese sauce and the pork nachos but instead of pork we do chicken and no pickled red onions.

My little sister’s favorite dish from The Firepit is a side of shrimp lightly seasoned with French fries or asparagus and a Sprite.
