Q: How did you become the Dean of Students?
A: I was given an opportunity by Dr. Telli and Dr. Choby to pursue a position such as the Dean of Students.
Q: What was your position before being Dean of Students?
A: Before becoming the Dean of Students, I taught math predominantly, Algebra II and Honors Algebra II for 25 years.
Q: Why did they pick you as Dean of Students?
A: Because of my experience that I’ve had both with teaching and coaching, and in the realm of just knowing a lot of the personnel in the high school.
Q: What do you do as Dean of Students?
A: I monitor the students’ tardiness and attendance as well as assist teachers and discipline students for misbehaving.
Q: Have you learned anything from being Dean of Students?
A: I’ve learned that Norwin has a lot of great teachers and a lot of great students, and the more we learn about each other. The better this place will be in my job is to help facilitate that everyone understands both sides of every story told.
Q: What are your goals for being Dean of Students?
A: My goal was simply to make a better and safer place for everyone, so that when students come to school, they enjoy being at school and take pride in the school.
Q: Do you plan to be Dean of Students next year and in future years?
A: Typically, the way I advance or view my decision-making as I try to live in the moment, so I do foresee myself being the student next year as well.
