Sophomore and freshman Class Offices hosted a new event in the high school cafeteria called Trivia Knight on January 15. The goal for the event was to raise money for the Class Offices and to test students’ skills and knowledge on certain topics, such as sports, entertainment, local trivia, history, etc.
Trivia Knight was run and set up by freshmen and sophomore Class Officers with the assistance of three teacher-advisors, Mrs. Gretchen Sweeney, Mrs. Braid, and Mrs. Letso. People had to sign up in groups of four to six to participate in the event since it involved answering questions in a group.
“Mrs. Braid and Mrs. Letso had the great idea for trivia night,” said teacher advisor Mrs. Sweeney.

Trivia Knight started out with the DJ announcing the rules of the game and how many rounds there will be. A long list of different categories of questions was included in the game.
“I think trivia night is a great way for students to test the knowledge they learn in the classroom,” said Norwin junior Roman Ola.
The 3rd place team consisting of Lucas Brahim, Cassandra Halaszynski, Ashton Hardy, Roman Ola, Kalaina Phetsomphou, and Victoria Marflak; the 2nd place team consisted of Bennett Braid, Molly Edwards, Caden Gigliotti, Katelyn Navarra, and Sophia Platt received a prize of donuts; and the 1st place team of sophomores Alex Barrett, Sullivan Fullem, Tanner Johnson, Aiden Perry, and Gio Pirillo received a Panera breakfast as a prize for winning.
