Q: What is your job or role in the musical? Explain…
A: I am the audio tech for the Norwin theatre company, which means that I manage all of the microphones and playing music involved in the musical.

Q: What has been your favorite thing about being in the stage crew?
A: My favorite part about being in the stage crew is both the set design/construction and what I do with the audio. The set design aspect allows me to be hands-on and do things like woodworking, which I don’t get to do often. The audio/sound portion is one of my favorites because I have found that it allows me to connect with many aspects of theatre that most people don’t look at or notice. Though I have had to balance both theatre and track, I truly enjoy all of the time I get to spend here, especially with all of the friends I have made over the years, which is another thing that I’ve grown to love about this place.
Q: Why did you decide to be a part of the stage crew?
A: I had done the video crew in middle school, which is where I had heard about the stage crew, and what inspired me to come out. I started my freshman year, and have been doing it since. I truly fell in love with the entire process of putting together a show.
Q: What do you create for the musical?
A: I help create the set for the musical by helping design and create the structure, so that the cast can have a safe and creative place to tell the story that will be the musical or play.
Q: Any additional thoughts you would like to share?
A: I’m super excited for Mamma Mia and to get to share the show in our new performing arts center!
